About FreelanceKit
Free tools for the practical side of freelance work.
What we do
FreelanceKit is a small set of free tools for freelancers: an invoice generator, an hourly rate calculator, a project quote calculator and an employee versus freelance income comparison. Each page explains the formula it uses and works through an example, so you can check the result instead of taking it on trust.
Privacy by design
Every tool runs in your browser. The details you enter, such as rates, client names and invoice amounts, are not uploaded to our servers. Read the Privacy Policy for what is and is not stored.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use. It currently shows no advertising. If that changes, ads will be clearly labelled and kept away from input fields, and the Privacy Policy will be updated first.
Limits you should know about
Tax and invoicing rules differ by country and change every year. The calculators use simple, editable assumptions, and the invoice generator makes no claim that its output meets the invoice rules where you work. Treat results as a starting point and ask a qualified accountant about decisions that matter. If you spot an error or have a suggestion, get in touch.
